Build Your Self Esteem, A Started Guide To Self Improvement

| Posted in Think Positive |

So how do you stay calm, composed and maintain self esteem in a tough environment? Here are some tips you may to consider as a starter guide to self improvement.

Imagine yourself as a Dart Board. Everything and everyone else around you may become Dart Pins, at one point or another. These dart pins will destroy your self esteem and pull you down in ways you won’t even remember. Don’t let them destroy you, or get the best of you. So which dart pins should you avoid?

  • Dart Pin #1 : Negative Work Environment - Beware of “dog eat dog” theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned. Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake anywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.
  • Dart Pin #2 : Other People’s Behavior - Bulldozers, brown nosers, gossipmongers, whiners, backstabbers, snipers, people walking wounded, controllers, naggers, complainers, exploders, patronizes, sluffers… all these kinds of people will pose bad vibes for your self esteem, as well as to your self improvement scheme.

Life Sucks So Why Keep Trying – Or – Take A Breath And Get Back Up

Bare with me here because it’s going to get a little deep. Get your shovel out before you read the next paragraph.

Life sucks and it’s only going to keep sucking! Every time I think things are going good, something bad happens and it all gets ruined. The harder I try the harder it gets. The more money I make the more money other people want from me. Why should I keep trying. I give up!

The list of things people say to themselves and their friends and family goes on and on. The more people I meet the more I see it. Unhappy people all over the world, right next to you in the store and even living in the house right next to yours.

What all of these people don’t get, is that things in life WILL suck as long as they keep thinking that way. It’s a fact and things will never get better for these people until they change the way the think and see things in life.

Life SucksSee, when things in life start to go bad for us, most of us for some reason let down our guard and welcome in the nasty thoughts like you read above. The same thoughts that are actually causing some of the things in life to go wrong for these people.

When Life Gives Your Lemons Make Lemonade

When life gives you lemos - make lemonade

Life isn’t always about things going right the first time, and staying that way. It sucks, but it’s true and sometimes the more you push for better things, it seems like life pushes back twice as hard to keep things going in a bad direction, or even worse.

NOTE:
in more than 90% of the situations we all have in life, it’s not LIFE that makes things worse, it’s US that makes things worse. Bad thoughts, negative thinking, bad decisions and a bunch of things can factor into our situations. We just need to deal with them better to see forward movement.

Sometimes things just go wrong and we need to sit back and look at the situation before taking action to make sure we’re doing what is best for ourselves and the people in our lives.

Here’s a good example.

A while back I moved to Minnesota. A friend of mine there setup things for me and my family to move there and work together on some stuff to see a better future for both our families. Well, things didn’t exactly work out the way they were supposed to.

My friend had a lot of irons in the fire with other businesses, and acquired a new business at the same time and these businesses needed just about all of his time and effort to get them going, and keep them going.

Using Water For Gas and Saving At The Pump

So what does using water for gas have to do with being a better YOU?

A LOT!  It’s about taking a bad situation in life and finding a good solution.

Note: See below to learn about the water for gas craze – looks like this stuff actually works!  CLICK HERE to jump right to that section

Gas prices go up and up and people start to go crazy.  They start complaining and bitching and blaming this person and that billion dollar company and so on.

What it comes down to is this – YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

Why bitch, complain and make your own and other peoples lives miserable over something you have no control over.

Instead, do what these smart people are doing and use your head to find a solution.

This is one of the core things needed to move forward in life – stop bitching, start doing!

So this new water for gas thing is picking up more and more and it’s because people out there started using their heads to help themselves and other people to get through tough oil and gas price hike times.

This is what we all need to do in our lives in every situation.  Look around and see what we can do to help, instead of bitching and making it worst.

That’s my little tip for today – force yourself to stop bitching and start fixing :-)

Here’s that info on using water to fuel your car or truck I was talking about.

I was looking around online for something to inspire a writing spark in my head and I started seeing all of this information on the trends websites about people searching online on how to use water as gas and save a bunch at the pump.

Are YOU Trained To Fail

That’s a good question, isn’t it.

Have you ever thought about what your life has been like since your first memory, and how the people, rules and interaction you’ve had has trained your mind to function a certain way?

Most people don’t think this deeply about it, but you should.

See, SOME people believe we’ve all been ‘mistakenly’ trained to fail in life.

The whole time we’re growing up our parents, teachers and other authority figures were always telling us “no” or “you can’t do that” or something to that affect.  And with that, we were TRAINED to accept those answers from our authority figures and respect them.

Some people believe that all of these things we’ve all experienced as children and teenagers have embedded in our brain that when someone tells us “no”, we take that answer to the bank and stop right there.
