Are YOU Trained To Fail

| Posted in Think Positive |

That’s a good question, isn’t it.

Have you ever thought about what your life has been like since your first memory, and how the people, rules and interaction you’ve had has trained your mind to function a certain way?

Most people don’t think this deeply about it, but you should.

See, SOME people believe we’ve all been ‘mistakenly’ trained to fail in life.

The whole time we’re growing up our parents, teachers and other authority figures were always telling us “no” or “you can’t do that” or something to that affect.  And with that, we were TRAINED to accept those answers from our authority figures and respect them.

Some people believe that all of these things we’ve all experienced as children and teenagers have embedded in our brain that when someone tells us “no”, we take that answer to the bank and stop right there.

Here’s an example:

You’re trying to get some business financial backing and you approach all of the high-ups in business you know with your idea.

Each one of them tells you they think its a bad business plan and tell you “no”, that they will not back you on your idea.

MOST people in this situation would just give up, move on and either stop trying all together or end up dreaming up some new idea and doing it again and again most likely being told the same thing over and over.

In reality, the “no” answers you got should not have stopped you.  Some people think that all of the childhood and teenage years of HAVING TO deal with “no” have trained us to stop when we get that answer.

These same people think that IF you really believe in your goal, you CAN and SHOULD come up with creative ways to turn those “no” answers into “yes” answers.

Is this something we should consider when we go about our business of life?

Are these people right in their theory of being trained to fail – mistakenly of course.  We all know that our parents and the other authority figures in our lives were only looking out for us and helpings us to not do bad things and to not make and decisions, which is good!

But did all of those ‘prime mental building’ years of hearing “no” and “you can’t do that” train our brains to accept those answers and do nothing more about it?

Well, I think there is some truth to that.

I mean, we’ve learned over time that our brain is trainable, it takes in what is given to it and our personalities, personal thought processes and day to day lives are a direct result.

So, try to UN-train you brain making it so you can dismiss a “no” answer (when appropriate of course), and start thinking of creative ways to turn those “no” answers into “yes” answers.

You’ll see much more being accomplished in life, feel much better about yourself when you see your idea come to life and other people will see you as go-getter!
