Life’s Little Mistakes

We all have to deal with life’s little mistakes.

  • Trusting someone you KNEW you shouldn’t have.
  • Making a quick decision when you KNEW you should have taken more time to think things over
  • Quitting your current job before you actually got the "okay" that you got the new job you were hoping for
  • Moving across country to live in a house you haven’t even signed papers on yet – just find out the guy selling it to you was "sticking it to you" the whole time.

These are all life’s little mistakes (not mine, just some examples that came to mind) and people all over the world every day are dealing with issues just like the ones above.

But, how do you deal with these ‘Mistakes’ and how do you push forward in life after one smacks you flat in the face?

Well, everyone deals with things differently, but the main thing is to remember that you’re not alone in life. Thousands of people in that same day are dealing with issues just like yours, if not even more down in the dumper type issues.

But also remember that staying calm, collected and secure in your new decisions is what will get your through ANY tough time in your life.

Life’s little mistakes are nothing more then tests that we have to take whether we’re ready for them or not.

I have a friend who was doing great in life. He pretty much had it all (in most people’s eyes) but ended up making a few very bad choices, and lost just about everything.

Right away he started trying to come up with fast cash, thinking only about each day as it came and not thinking calmly about what was best in the long term.

He ended up moving across country and living the life of your everyday high school dropout. Barely any money, no security and quickly running out of resources and "friends" to help him out.

He ended up somewhere he never thought he’d be, doing something he swore he’d never do again (working for someone else) and living on no where near enough to support himself, let alone his whole family.

People calling him asking for money and utilities getting shut off every few months.

It was terrible!

It took him about two years to pull himself out of the mental stink he was in and start to actually do something that was for the best in the long term.

But you know what, all of that could have been avoided if he just sat back, thought and made some well planned and ‘SANE’ decisions instead of just jumping on the first life boat he could and praying for the best.

So, what’s the lesson here?

Well, the lesson is to always STOP – SIT BACK and THINK before making any choices. No matter how bad things seem to be.  When life’s little mistakes show their face in your life, just calm down and take the time to make the right choices.

If you’re not sure what to do, ask someone close who is doing well in their life (never ask for an opinion from someone in the same situation or worse than yours).

Life is full of mistakes, mishaps and little things that can quickly turn into HUGE things.

It’s HOW you deal with them that makes all of the difference in the world.
